As part of the ongoing transition from Adams to Blue Ridge, all active Echoes.net email accounts will be migrated to the PTD.net email platform on the night of October 20th.
What to Expect
- Migration Timeline: The migration will take place overnight on October 20th (12:00AM) and is expected to be complete by mid-morning on October 20th.
- Email Address: At migration on the 20th, all customers will continue to be able to use their username@echoes.net email address, but will also have an @ptd.net email.
-
New Login Page: After the 20th, customers should go to https://webmail.mybrctv.com/ to access their email.
- Password: Passwords will remain the same; however, we recommend customers change their passwords after migration.
-
IMPORTANT: To log in, customers must now add @ptd.net to the end of their username when signing in.
- Example: If the current username is Johnsmith123, the new login will be Johnsmith123@ptd.net.
- Email Programs & Apps: If a customer uses a program such as Outlook, Windows Live Mail, or a mail app on their smartphone/tablet, they’ll need to update server settings. Instructions: https://www.ptd.net/support/email-communication/email-server-settings.
- Contacts & Folders: Contacts on webmail will be lost. Folders will be copied except for Trash and Junk.
- Email Forwards: Will not be copied with the migration. Email forwards will need to be setup via the Account Management tool at https://webmail.mybrctv.com/
- Outbound emails for an @echoes.net user will be defaulted to @echoes.net
- Mail Me Accounts: @echoes.net email holders will be able to set up a Mail Me account after disconnecting, and they will be able to continue to use their @echoes.net alias while this account is active. This is only for PA and NJ customers. NY (Co 16) customers will not have the ability to set up a Mail Me account.
-
Disconnects: After disconnects, we will allow the @echoes.net account to be reactivated (within 30 days) of disconnect. This will allow the user to continue using the @echoes.net email. This would be an escalation to PTD support.
- Existing customers with an echoes.net email that is being migrated will continue to be able to receive email at that address so long as we keep that domain registered. However, if they are cancelled for any reason or are new, they will not get access to use that echoes.net domain. Any new customer that lives in the legacy Adam’s territory after the mail migration happens will not get an echoes.net email address for use.
