How do I program my DTA Remote?
- Find the manufacturer’s code for your TV. (Please refer to the attachment at the bottom of this article.)
- Make sure your TV is powered on and you have a solid green light on the front of your DTA Mini Box.
- On your remote, press and hold the [Setup] button until the LED indicator flashes red twice.
- Enter the first manufacturer’s code you found in step 1. The LED indicator will flash red once to indicate successful entry of the code.
- Press the [TV Power] button on the remote control. If the TV turns off, that means the code has been accepted. Turn the TV back on and make sure that the [VOL+/-] and [Mute] buttons also work. If so, programming is complete.
- If the code does not work, repeat these steps with each of the manufacturer’s codes for your brand of TV until one is successful.
Can I pair the DTA remote to the box so that I don’t need to point it directly at the box to change channels?
Yes! You can pair the DTA remote to the box. Please try the following steps:
- Ensure that you have a clear line-of-sight from the remote to the DTA Mini Box during the pairing process.
- Press the [Menu] button.
- Select Settings, then Remote Control, then Remote Control Pairing.
- Press and hold the [Setup] button until the LED indicator flashes red twice.

- The LED Indicator will flash red four times on the remote control.
How do I factory reset the remote?
A factory reset will remove all pairing to the box and all programming for your TV set.
- Press and hold the [Setup] button on the remote for three seconds until the LED Indicator flashes red twice.
- Enter 9-8-1 on the remote control.
- The LED Indicator will flash red four times on the remote control.
- Reprogram the remote as desired.
My remote does not respond to button presses. What do I do?
First, check to make sure no buttons are stuck. If a button on the remote becomes stuck in, it will prevent other functions from working. Run your fingers over the buttons to dislodge any that may have become stuck.
Next, check if the LED indicator lights up when buttons are pressed. If it does not, try changing the remote’s batteries and test again.
If power and volume controls do not work, make sure the remote is programmed to your TV.
If box functions such as Menu, Guide, and Info do not work, and you have previously paired the remote to your DTA Mini Box, repeat the pairing process and test the remote again.
Please note: if you unpair the remote from the DTA Mini Box, you will need a direct line-of-sight from the remote to the box to change channels. If you wish to keep the box out of sight, please try the pairing steps again.
