How do I reboot my cable box?
In the event of pixilation, missing channels, error messages on a specific channel, or a blank screen on live TV with a working info bar when you tune to a channel, we first recommend rebooting the affected cable box. Reboots will often solve issues by resetting the box and its cable connection.
To reboot, unplug the cable box from the power, either from the back of the box or from the power outlet on your wall or power strip, for approximately 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This will begin the boot-up process. Wait for picture and sound to return, and then check any affected channels or services to see if the problem has been resolved.
