What is HomeFi/ProFi Back Up+?
- HomeFi Back Up+ and ProFi Back Up+ are services that are offered to Residential and Business customers that provide seamless 4G cellular backup connectivity during an internet outage, to keep homes and businesses running without interruption.
How does it work?
- Back Up+ will automatically activate when wired internet service goes down and switch back to normal wired service after the internet outage is over. This device requires electricity and will not function if power is out.
- Back Up+ will work if connected to a whole-home generator.
How do I set up Back Up+?
- Open the eero app and click the blue plus sign.
- Click eero Signal and follow the setup flow.
- Identify the HomeFi unit in the location with the best cellular signal.
- Connect the Y-splitter's junction to the AC adapter. Use the AC adapter included in the Back Up+ kit. Plug the short cable from the Y-splitter to your eero.
- When Back Up+ is ready, it will display a white LED.
