How do I program my Synergy V remote to change the Input on my TV?
The [VIDEO SOURCE] button on your remote can be programmed to control the Input function on your TV. Normally, in Cable Mode, this operates as a Cable function. It allows you to change the Aspect Ratio settings (Stretch, Normal, and Zoom) to see what looks “best” for any given channel. In TV Mode, this button can change the Input Source (e.g. -Input 1, Input 2, HDMI 1, Component, Video, etc.) on your TV.
You can program this button so that in the remote’s normal Cable Mode, the [VIDEO SOURCE] button will automatically operate the Input Source function on your TV, eliminating the need to change modes on the remote.
To program this function:
- Press and hold the [VIDEO SOURCE] and the [SEL/OK] buttons together until the [CBL] button illuminates at the top of the remote – then let both buttons go.
- Press the [TV] button one time. The [CBL] button will blink 3 times and go out.
Note: To undo this, you would need to repeat step 1 above and then press the [CBL] button in step 2 to return to the normal Video Source function.

Pressing ALL POWER does not turn my TV on/off.
The [ALL POWER] button sends signals to turn the cable box and TV on or off. If your cable box and TV fall out of sync, the remote may turn one device on and the other off.
To resync your cable box and TV:
Press the [CBL] or [TV] buttons at the top of the remote to individually power your cable box or TV on or off. Once both devices are either on or off, test the [ALL POWER] button again.
