How do I arm the system?
On the interactive panel:
- Tap the green Disarmed icon.
- If desired, tap the right arrow to see additional options. Tap Exit Sounds to turn off audible arming beeps, or Entry Delay to bypass the countdown upon re-entering the home.
- From the same menu, tap All and select sensors to bypass, if desired.
- Select your arming mode:
- Arm Stay: For use when people are inside the home. If Entry Delay is active, a countdown will occur to disarm the system when entering the home.
- Please note: Motion detectors are disabled in Stay Mode, as it is assumed people will be moving around inside the home.
- Arm Away: For use when your family is out of the home. If Entry Delay is active, a countdown will occur to disarm the system when entering the home.
- Please note: Motion detectors are active in Away Mode, as it is assumed no one will be inside the home.
- Arm Stay: For use when people are inside the home. If Entry Delay is active, a countdown will occur to disarm the system when entering the home.
- If you select Arm Away, the panel will beep as the timer counts down to arming. Make sure to leave the premises before the countdown ends.
- During the arming countdown, tap +60 to add time to the countdown, or X to cancel arming.
- Please note: If you set the system for Arm Away, but do not trigger a sensor upon leaving the home (such as by opening and closing a sensored door), the system will default to Arm Stay mode.
- It is not recommended to set No Entry Delay if arming Away, unless you will disarm the system before entering the home, such as from the mobile app.
On the mobile app or web portal:
- Log into the Alarm.com app or web portal (at https://www.alarm.com/login).
- Select the security banner/green Disarmed icon.
- Check No Entry Delay or Silent Arming if desired.
- Select your arming mode:
- Arm Stay: For use when people are inside the home. For use when people are inside the home. If Entry Delay is active, a countdown will occur to disarm the system when entering the home.
- Please note: Motion detectors are disabled in Stay Mode, as it is assumed people will be moving around inside the home.
- Arm Away: For use when your family is out of the home. If Entry Delay is active, a countdown will occur to disarm the system when entering the home.
- Please note: Motion detectors are active in Away Mode, as it is assumed no one will be inside the home.

- Please note: Unlike arming from the panel, when arming from the app or web portal, the system will not default to Arm Stay if a sensored door does not open and close. If you remain in the home when arming Away, you may trigger an alarm.
How do I disarm the system?
On the interactive panel:
- Tap the red Armed icon.
- Enter your User Code before the timer counts down to zero.
On the mobile app or web portal:
- Tap or click the security banner/orange or red Armed icon.
- Tap or click the green Disarm button.
How does Bluetooth Disarming work? Can my system be disarmed automatically?
Bluetooth disarming allows you to pair a mobile device like a smartphone to your interactive panel using Bluetooth. When your system is Armed Away and detects your mobile device entering the vicinity/range of the panel, your system will disarm automatically.
You can set this up from the interactive panel:
- From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Settings tray.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Advanced Settings.
- Enter your Master code.
- Tap Bluetooth Devices.
- Tap Settings to enable to disable Bluetooth or Bluetooth disarming.
- To add a mobile device, tap Add Phone on the panel. At the same time, you must also access your mobile device’s Bluetooth settings and search for nearby devices to pair with.
- Once the device is located, it will appear on the screen. Tap the mobile device, and simultaneously, tap Pair on the panel, and the Pair option on your mobile device.
- Once paired, on your panel, choose if the device is allowed to automatically disarm your system.
- Tap Save when done.
- To edit or a remove a Bluetooth device later on, return to the Bluetooth Devices screen and select Edit Device.
How do I bypass a sensor?
You may choose to bypass a sensor if a door is open, you’re having a problem with a particular sensor, etc. Sensors can be bypassed if arming from the interactive panel:
- Tap Disarm.
- Before selecting an arming mode, tap the right arrow.
- You will see a list of any bypassed sensors under Active. Tap All to see all sensors.
- Tap each sensor to wish to bypass to check the corresponding circle.
- Once you’ve bypassed the sensors of your choice, proceed with arming the system.
Please note: You cannot manually bypass a sensor from the mobile app or web portal. If you arm your system remotely using these methods, any open doors or windows will have their sensors bypassed. You may see a warning if selecting Arm Away with open door or window sensors.
